Fireproof Foams

We can only consider as fireproof foam, the BASOTECT®, the foam manufactured with melanin resin base, it is precisely this type of resin that makes it fireproof, all other foams can be self-extinguishing or not.

Self-extinguishing: It is a foam that can burn as long as it has a constant flame contribution, but the drops it releases are extinguished and this is vital to prevent the spread of a possible fire, it also stops burning when the flame contribution ends, which does not happen with conventional foams, which burn and do not go out until they are consumed, releasing toxic fumes during its ignition and releasing drops also ignited, so it can easily spread a fire.
